New Feature: Regular Expressions

New feature alert! Cloudthread is introducing Regular Expressions to all the filters. Now filtering with complex conditions is easier than ever before.

We decided to add  to all the filters on the platform. Being somewhat an advanced feature, with some learning curve it unlocks tremendous flexibility and efficiency in creating complex filter conditions.

Filtering costs by certain conditions is among the most frequent actions performed within any cloud cost management tool. Cloudthread platform is not different here: our Cost Views and Unit Metrics are created exactly through filtering, and sometimes it can be tedious to introduce particularly complex conditions.

That is why we decided to add regular expressions to all the filters on the platform. Being somewhat an advanced feature (regex can get very involved and requires the syntax knowledge), with some learning curve it unlocks tremendous flexibility and efficiency in creating complex filter conditions. Our customers, especially having Engineering stakeholders using Cloudthread, already gave positive feedback about this feature, and we are planning to release more things of this kind based on the feedback we are consistently getting.
