New feature alert! Cloudthread is launching Budgets! This is part of our Cost Transparency suite of features focused on absolute cost insights – it allows you to set up, visualize and report budgets for the teams, all within an intuitive interface of the platform.
Now it is very easy to set up a budget for any Cost View you create, and have it visualized on absolute cost charts as well as include it in reporting and alerting focused on key stakeholders.
Although Cloudthread is heavily promoting the use of Unit Metrics and efficiency-focused analysis methods for FinOps, absolute cost insights are not becoming less important, especially in an enterprise setting, where things like budgets play a key role in the planning and forecasting process.
Now it is very easy to set up a budget for any Cost View you create, and have it visualized on absolute cost charts as well as include it in reporting and alerting focused on key stakeholders. We have built this feature based on a popular request from our enterprise customers who deal with a large number of teams operating within tight budgets.
