New Feature: API Metric Fetch

New feature alert! Cloudthread is launching API Metric Fetch. Now you can easily retrieve processed cloud cost data programmatically and use it within your custom data pipelines!

From now on, everything the Cloudthread platform produces will be available through a convenient API. Send a simple request and return a JSON response with processed cost data.

Cloudthread processes your cloud costs, blends them with performance monitoring data, and delivers Cost Views and Unit Metrics so that you can make better decisions focused on the real economic efficiency of your cloud deployment. It works excellently and provides fantastic results in-app. However, what if you want to take the numbers we produce and integrate them into your dev pipelines for specific cost optimization automation or custom reporting? Until now, there was no convenient way to do so (sure, we had a CSV Export feature, but its core focus is different, and using produced CSVs in development is a nightmare).

Based on the feedback on the above we got from our customers, we have created API Metric Fetch functionality. From now on, everything the Cloudthread platform produces will be available through a convenient API. Send a simple request and return a JSON response with processed cost data. This is an excellent addition to Custom Data API, extending the range of our developer-focused features aimed at the shift left of cloud cost management capabilities.
